Pushing in the Rain

I learned to push on my skateboard on the smooth wet surface of the post-rain parking lot right next to where I live!

To be honest, it was wayyyy easier pushing there than on the Berkeley roads or side walks. I’m not sure if it’s just my wheels, but you can’t make even a few tiles on the side walk without needing to push again, and one too many tile going too slow and you get a hard break.

Because it was the weekend and yesterday it rained a lot, there was nearly nobody there (quite unusual actually). I used my opportunity to skate for a while, and I’m feeling pretty comfortable with pushing and turning broadly now. I’ll have to continue practicing for the next few days and hopefully learn sharp turns.
